My Views

If elected to the Seanad, I would strive to promote policies to help make Ireland a better place to live and work. Ireland should ideally be a place where:

Being permanently employed should be enough to own a home with a garden.

All citizens have access to the best healthcare available, regardless of background.

Our education system promotes, to a greater degree, equality of opportunity.

Fluency in a language other than English is more commonplace.

Government and Public Services operate according to a genuine ideas-driven meritocracy.

A greater sense of politicians in the Dáil promoting the national interest first prevails.

National culture is better protected and encouraged.

Increased efforts are made to tackle all aspects of ageism.

A greater sense of internationalism is encouraged and promoted.

Setting up a company is fast and efficient, and not blocked by excessive red tape.

More of our produce is recognised for being of superior quality around the World.

More of our natural wind and ocean energy resources are exploited effectively.

More of those in difficulty are given adequate support to help themselves out of trouble.
